Of course, once I put myself on a self imposed hiatus from blogging it seemed like every blogger in the world decided to update and every poster decided to post, no fair! I want to play too!
I spent the last couple of days working on my secret project and the most frustrating part was the program I was using kept locking up or crashing on me so I kept losing my work. Of course I started saving all the time but then I couldn't get the project I had stayed up until 4am to open! So I cleaned off all of the files in my puter, deleting everything that I didn't need hoping if I had more space on my harddrive it would work better but that didn't help and there was no way I was deleting the 2000 pictures I have. So off I went to the Apple store to buy more memory. Something I was planning to do, in the future not just before my vacation but what's a desperate girl to do? I debated walking to the mall but then decided against it because I wanted to get back to what I was working on. Good thing I drove because the store was closed for remodeling so I had to go to the store that's not 2 minutes away and it was rush hour! I was not a happy camper. So my 10 minute trip became an hour but now I could sit down and get back to business.
I didn't realize I needed a tiny screwdriver to replace the memory. I called my neighbor and borrowed his but it was still too big. Then a lightbulb went off in my head and I found my eyeglasses screwdriver and voila! So I replaced the memory and what happens? Nothing! It didn't work! 45 minutes later I gave up and went BACK to the Apple store. The genius bar didn't have any appointments available but luckily I caught him between customers and he helped me even though his next guy showed up. I didn't push the memory in far enough. I tried to push it in more several times but didn't realize it needed to click into place. BTW, when you change your memory make sure you ground yourself. He says I was lucky I didn't blow the memory cards.
So 4 hours after my journey began I sat down to do some serious work and guess what? It didn't work!!! I had figured out a workaround to my problem BUT I needed to get to it to work around the problem which means for the second time in a row, I had to re-do everything, arghhhh! Luckily, now that I figured out a workaround I won't have to go through that again and hey, now I have more memory, which means more pictures of me!!!
Staying up late doesn't bother me since I'm a night owl. I figure I'm training for Vegas. I mean, I was up til 4am one night which is only 2am Vegas time so I'm working on my body clock now, LOL. Here is my late night tv routine since I had to have the tv on while I worked:
11 Sex and the City
11:30 Scrubs
Midnight Scrubs
12:30 King of the Hill
1 Will and Grace
1:30 Scrubs
After that it's slim pickings. I have been reduced to watching late night news, GASP! Tonight though I'll be in bed before that happens, heaven forbid I should be informed on what's happening in the world!

VCR? Leiha you need a TiVo! I had a digital recording cable box thingy when I was w/my ex and I was more torn up about loosing that when I left, than I was about the relationship falling apart! I had all my episodes of Angel saved on that thing! *sniff* heh
Well if my immigration falls through here Nes, I'll keep that in mind when shopping around for a new country for us! LOL

In defense of Macs, they are just so much more aesthetically pleasing, the odd bug is worth it!!
The thing is, what I want to do on my mac comes free and is very user friendly, so there!
I'm glad I was missed, LOL. Of course, now that I'm back I want everyone to update every hour or so if that's possible, LOL.
Tammy, I'm cheap! Sure, tivos and dvrs are nice but I am not willing to pay extra every month when I know how to work a vcr, LOL.
Leiha, once you have a DVR, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it!
But you don't need to work the VCR to get porn. You know they don't call me the GOP (formerly MOP) for nothing...

LOL unless someone else is paying for that DVR I'll stick to thinking about buying a vcr *G*. Having been a recipient of porn from the GOP I am very grateful.
Gah I so know all about trying to do something and it freezing up and not working. My stupid computer freezes up or reboots in the middle of everything.
I need to get it fixed, or get another'n, but, I just do what I can and go do something else during "down" times.
