Final thoughts...

on my cruise. I have to say, I had a wonderful time on the cruise. I don't think you ever have to worry about being bored but then again, I like to nap and read books, LOL. But they do make a big effort to keep cruisers entertained, there was a band playing on the lido deck where people lay out, there was a little putt putt golf course at the very top, can't imagine doing that with the wind, LOL. They had a running track (yeah right), a casino, activities and clubs for kids. They have a cameraman taking pics at dinners and when you embark and disembark (we didn't buy any of these pics, not our best, LOL), there's a casino, comedy shows, a dance club, piano bar and of course the night club.

They also do things like turn down service and leaving chocolates on our bed and even more cool, we get new towel animals greeting us each night.

They even had a class to teach people how to do this themselves. Of course, I was probably in bed during that class, LOL.

I would totally go on a cruise again. It's as busy or relaxing as you want it to be. The costs of drinks adds up but they do allow you to bring on a bottle of wine or champagne a person which we did. Of course, others sneak on booze in water bottles, I snuck in water bottles filled with water, LOL. They do sell liqour on board much cheaper then they sell in the stores here but they box it up and hold it so you pay for their drinks. You can buy a soda card for $20 for all the soda you want but the dining rooms have juice and water for free. The juice made great mixers and when my rum punch was too sweet I added lemonade, yum!

That's it for my cruising adventures. Now that I live so close to Miami I see many more cruises in my future, LOL.

OMG,I love the towel animals, how clever! I bet all the kids get a real kick out of that,I know my son would love it.

I can't believe how much stuff they can pack onto the ship, and then still have passenger cabins,an engine room, cargo hold & crew quarters, wow! You know what I really want,is to take a cruise on one of the Windjammer ships.I've looked into it & it's way more money than a normal cruise, but I would love to be on a genuine sailing ship.Less crowded that way, too, although it doesn't sound like you & Su had to worry about that too much.I would've loved having the dining table all to myself,too-more room for extra plates and such that way,LOL!

That's too bad they zap you so hard for the drinks,I'd be smuggling my booze in too! *G*

All together, though,it sounds like a pretty good deal.

Well, good to hear you liked and enjoyed it! The only time I went on a cruise was in Egypt. The Nile Cruise. I enjoyed it too. I thought I'd be bored out of my mind.

I love the towels!! They did that to us too, but scared us one night by making a life size doll and they used JK's cap to make it look like a man. LOL.

A cruise is relaxing. Too bad you didn't get to enjoy the sun deck.

I'm glad you're back home chick. Welcome home! I've missed you!

MWAH!

Those are the cutest darned things ever.

It sounds like the cruise was a total success. And you can make it what you want since there is so much to do. I would totally love it!

Welcome home, sweetie!!

Hugs!

The towel animals were cute... but I'll trade you my towel for your chocholate :) I have never had turndown service with chocholate before. Next time I visit that is what I want Leiha!

The towel animals are always cute. They sell little ones in the gift shop, sewed together so they won't fall apart. We've bought a couple for gifts.

My family is never going to let me live down the time I got mad and slapped the monkey.

I don't have big drink bills, but I do pictures. I spend a fortune on ship photos. But, you know, I plan for it going in, so it's just part of the trip cost.

I'm glad you had a great time.
I don't know if you know, but we didn't enjoy our first cruise, me or my sister either one. We didn't like it. We didn't know what we were doing, and missed out on alot of stuff.

The only reason we went on the second one was because I'm stubborn like that. Instead of not repeating a not-good experience, I wanted to try again and make it better the next time.
And we did.

Next time I'm not going to all the embarkation/shopping/port talks they have.
It sounds like you and Su skipped them. I'm always afraid I'm going to miss out on something.
But I think I've figured out by now there's not really anything to miss out on.

Aren't they cute? It was always fun coming into our room and seeing what new animal was there to greet us. Bo, we thought about taking a windjammer pirate cruise some day. I really should learn how to swim first though, LOL.

LMAO, yeah a dead body in your room, not quite so cute and cuddly! I've missed you too chick! Great to see you back online.

Rosie, they have camps for kids so the boys could be occupied all day and you could do what you want! Just something to think about, LOL.

Girl, you know we didn't eat any of the chocolate. I would just throw them on the table, LOL. As for turn down service you get that every visit since I never turn up the blankets! As for the chocolate, look in my fridge!

I want to hear about you slapping the monkey, LOL! As for the cruising, it helped that Su had been before and I also searched the boards to try to be as informed as possible. We had a couple sit with us on the last night and it was their first dinner seating. They didn't even know about dinner for 2 days! Yeah, we so didn't go to any talks, LOL. I could be reading a book during that time. With as much research as you do ahead of time I don't think you need to worry about missing anything.
