Day 2ish

Sorry for the delay, when we weren't eating, drinking or reading we were sleeping, LOL. The cruise is perfect for readers! I would work on my blog in the room before I went to one of the upper decks to post. Tuesday we landed in Key West first thing in the morning. Of course, we didn't disembark first thing since I was still sleeping so once we had breakfast and got ready then we could get off the boat. We decided not to do any excursions in Key West and just wander around. I didn't really have any preference for anything. Su wanted to do two things: see the Pirate Museum and eat conch fritters. I was totally game. So we asked a local where the Pirate Museum was, he says see that building with the black flag, that would be it. D'oh! Off we went. To tour the museum was $13. I couldn't think of anything inside I wanted to see for that much so instead we just shopped the stores. How convenient that connected to the museum was a sex shop/pirate garb shop. We gave the guy grief for not wearing the proper attire but at least he threw us a bone by trying to talk like a pirate, LOL. The other guy was trying to get Su to buy one of Cher's outfits since he said she could fit in them. She didn't though, bummer, LOL. I bet I could wear one of Cher's outfits on my arm! Why didn't he ask me?

So we kept walking, went down to the water and saw a boat that had a pirate theme but they sail at night so we couldn't ride on it. We bought some souvenir t-shirts for ourselves but the big score in Key West is that they have a Coach Factory store with words such as clearance and 20% off the price. I hate to admit this but we lost our minds a little there. I bought 3 purses! One was a birthday present for my sister Kathy. Her birthday isn't til Oct but the prices were too good not to. I bought her the purse I already have which I bought for $200, it was $80 here! I can say I bought her present here because she doesn't read my blog. See, if she read it she would know, EG! Overall I spent $400 in purses but I SAVED $400. As you can see, I had to do it. Su also bought 2 purses so we made ourselves feel better. I didn't decide to get Kathy's purse until we were at the register and Su was rung up (she got that purse) and it was too good a deal, I just had to get the third purse! I know you understand. The bottom 3 are mine, I can't decide which one I love the most. After the high of our purchases we literally floated down the street looking for our fritters but eventually my bag of purses got heavy and my feet tired. We talked to a local and went to a restaurant on the water A&B's and had some raw oysters which were tasty and an appetizer sampler plate with conch fritters (not bad but too much bread, basically a shellfish hush puppy), buffalo sauce shrimp (it was ok) and some breaded fish. I thought the oysters were the best part of the meal, well that and our two drinks.

Su just reminded me about the people who took the trolley with us to Key West. We were on a trolley full of Brazilians and you know how I love my Brazilian men, well, let me just say, I wouldn't have guessed that these guys were Brazilians because they were so not hot! And then this chick was standing up taking pics and the driver is telling her to sit down and she totally ignored him. That would be because she didn't understand him but she was sitting next to us and we were trying to scoot over so the last person could get on and she was offended because she had to move her backpack, that was ok though, Su moved it for her, LOL. Then on the way back, we could have been slightly inebriated. I was telling the port authorities the guy behind us needed a full cavity search, EG! It's not safe to sit around Vivi and I sometimes. Now you see why we give fake names. Us on the trolley. The ship as we rode in. When we came back we wanted to go play Win, Lose or Draw but it wasn't for another hour so we started reading and lost track of time. Since we missed the game we took a nap instead. You know that makes me a happy camper!

Tuesday was lobster night, woo hoo! It was also the Captain's cocktail party which meant free drinks, woot woot! Now in my head I pictured the party as more of a mixer, I would be wrong. It happens sometimes (but not often). We all head to the Palace room in our finery and sit down while waiters bring us drinks and others pass around hors d'oeuvres. Luckily I was saving my appetite for diner because they only brought us a tray once and that's because we called out to them. The drink guys were on it though, especially Renzo. He made sure we had plenty of champagne and was even hand delivering some when we were leaving. There was a big band playing at the cocktail and they encouraged people to dance but that wasn't our kind of dancing. Then the Capt introduced his senior staff and that was that. I was looking forward to chit chatting with the Capt. Oh well, his loss, off we went to our room to refill our glasses with our own champagne. We mixed it with fruit punch, it tastes great that way!

Next up was dinner. Again, Vivi and I were the only two at our table but we prefer it that way so we can eat as much as we want, LOL. Turns out Renzo is a server in our restaurant also so he brought us a glass of wine, definitely pays to be nice so I had 3 glasses in front of me, LOL. I was not thirsty during dinner. For apps we had the greek salad, stuffed mushrooms and shrimp cocktail. Now we didn't mean to order the shrimp cocktail, we thought we were ordering it another way but that was what was brought out, LOL. The lobster was moist but it had a little too much salt on it, didn't stop me from ordering two. It also had some grilled shrimps that were awesome. The prime rib tasted wonderful but for me, a big part of the reason I love prime rib is the creamy horseradish and they had fresh grated horseradish so I didn't eat as much. For dessert we had cheese and fruit.
Renzo works in the dance club and wanted us to come by later on but it's too smokey in there. Back to Passage to India we went, once we had digested our food and some Music Asia. After that, a little late night reading and time to call it a night!

The Adventures of Coco and Vivi!!!

We decided we needed aliases, in case we wanted to embarrass each other and others (who us?). I am Coco and she is Vivica. So far I've only told one person my fake name and I almost messed that up, LOL.

Did I mention my flight from Atlanta was fabulous? I read til page 69 Born in Death by JD Robb then took a nap the rest of the flight. The only bad thing was, I was on the aisle seat and didn't bring my pillow. Live and learn, live and learn.

It took me 45 minutes to get my shuttle to the hotel, I was NOT happy to say the least. The hotel was only 3 miles away. The guy who did pick me up says he doesn't know what happened to the guy who had the shift before him since that was his first run of the day. Once I got to the hotel I was ok though. I called Nally and let her know I was in town and I rested for an hour before she came to pick me up. Once she was there we were off to the airport to pick up Su, talking and laughing all of the way. It's been 3 years since we had seen each other. Way too long!

Of course, the first thing that has to be done once we pick up Su is eat. We had decided ahead of time to go to Mojitos, a Cuban restaurant. We wanted local food. I told Su I wanted a cute waiter and good friend that she is she asked. We had a waiter that we could play with and he was cute. I'm sorry, I didn't get a pic, we spent our time having him take pics of us. He stopped complaining once I explained to him the reason my pic had to be re-taken was because I wanted to show off my tits more, LOL. I was supposed to get his email address but I forgot, I was too busy chatting with the girls.

As you saw from the other pics, we had a lot of food. We ordered a pitcher of mojitos and Su and I got the combo platter with steak, chicken, shrimp, fish and pork. I had the plantains and Su had the rice and beans. The steak and shrimp was fantastic but the other meats were a little dry. Once we came back to the hotel (Days Inn) there were a ton of people outside. Turns out they have a nightclub here but we were all too tired to go there. Instead we went to the room and talked til midnight and then when Nally went home we were going to go to sleep and 3 and a half hours later we did. Su and I together means bedroom gossip. We always end up talking until the wee hours of the morning whenever we sleep in the same room.

I had a great night's sleep but poor Su didn't. We were leisurely getting ready when the office called to let us know the shuttle was leaving an hour earlier then we were told which meant, no blog! Damn them! The worst wart was, we rushed to get there then waited for half an hour for the shuttle, again, you know I was not happy. They also charged us for using the safe, all hotels charge everyone for using the safe, they just put it on the bill. I was pissed. I didn't use the safe and shouldn't be charged for using it. I've stayed in hotels all across the country and never had that happened. I will be writing a letter. Yes, it was only $2 but that is $2 of my money! Then we get on the FREE shuttle and are told the port charges them $2 a person. If we has known that we could have taken a taxi with the other people waiting and it would have been cheaper and less of a wait. But we had fun playing with our other passengers. They didn't know what to make of us, imagine that.

On paper they say you can't board til 1:30pm so we worried we weren't going to get food, LOL and weren't going to be able to board since it was only 11:30am but we were able to board immediately. Su's favorite part of the whole trip so far was when we were going through security this big female security chick poked me in the belly and told me I shouldn't eat too much. Of course I laughed and was like, hell yeah I'll be eating. She said if I ate a lot I would have a belly like her. Now why didn't she poke Su's belly? LOL! Bitch!

Even though we embarked early we couldn't get to our room til 1:30pm we could eat right away woot woot! Off we went to get some food. They had 2 sides of the buffet with different foods but we went with the short line which was turkey. The turkey gravy was sooooo good I had to get extra turkey just so I could have more gravy, LOL. Su's first meal, she was hungry! The first drink of the day. Nally told me they had 24/7 soft serve while we were at the store the previous night and I must say, I got a little wet at the thought! But I was too full to eat some after my lunch but don't worry, I went back after the lifeboat drill to get some! I don't want to let Nancy down, my fellow soft serve lover!

So once we feasted we headed to our room. Our bags weren't there yet (Su said to tip them $2 to make sure we got them, I was only going to give him $1) so much for the extra buck! But our rooms, while small were pretty nice. Su turned on the tv and I took a nap until it was time for our lifeboat drill. We didn't want to go but it was mandatory. It was a big waste of time and Su was not happy, she wouldn't even smile for the pic, she didn't sleep well and wanted to be back in the room.
Oh, btw, when we left our room for the drill our bags were sitting outside of our room! They couldn't knock? So we went back to the room to unpack and pull out the bottles of water and champagne that we smuggled in. Yay, they weren't confiscated!

After we unpacked we wandered around some more and maybe had another drink. We wanted to go to the bon voyage party but it was too loud and too generic so we were hanging out in the Star Bar were the casino was. We happened upon where the sushi bar was so we had some sushi once they opened and then again went back to our room. It's so great to be able to come and go as you want without having to take taxis. We decided to read until it was time for dinner. There were a lot of things we wanted to participate in but we had chosen the late dinner seating and of course, the things we wanted to do were at the same time. Dinner takes priority. I was excited to meet some new people at our table. Well, the new people we met were out waiters Herold and Sudan (who is a cutie). We had the table to ourselves. Our reputation proceeded us. That's ok, gave us more room to eat. We ordered 3 apps, a salad and 2 entrees. Herold thought that was just my order and he didn't even flinch, LOL. The food was portobello mushrooms, smoked duck, shrimp cocktail, seafood newberg and beef wellington as well as a small salad. The portions weren't that big but it's not like we needed big portions, LOL. I have to say, the food was just ok. I have higher hopes for tonight's lobster and prime rib. The beef was pretty good and really tender. The best part of the meal was the desserts. We ordered a cheese plate )we decided this is a must every night) fresh fruit and key lime pie. Su ate the pie and I had the fruit nd we shared the cheese. We're in great with our waiters, as if there was any doubt. We had fun with them and honestly, I think we'll be happy if we don't have anyone sit with us the rest of the trip. You know we entertain ourselves. Here are Sudan and Herold, the best waiters and so cute!
We then went to the liqour tasting. It was mostly rum so I only tried one drink and it was sort of a white russian. It was ok. Then we went back to our room to freshen up and then head to the Star Bar where the singles over 21 were supposed to meet and greet. Let me say, there was no meat and greeting. Su and I were mainly the only ones there other then the people who came by to grab drinks so we pounded our drinks (something very common with Su) and went to check out the dance clubs. The Passage to India had a live band playing but they were on break so we went to the Diamond club where disco was supposed to be. It was smoky and the music was not disco so we went back to India. The waiter said the band was awesome and he was not lying! It was a Filipino band called Music Asia and they rocked! They had a bass player who looked 60 and rocked! All of the band sang and they were soooo good. The best was the drummer who sounded exactly like Steve Perry. We stayed for a whole set. We had the best seats in the house and of course we showed our pleasure in the music singing along and when they started singing Rick Springfield I did the whole we're not worthy bow, LOL. We had so much fun with them and will be going back every night to see them. After their set we wanted to do the midnight meal, of course! I got the burger and Su had the hot dog. We were planning on going back to the club but decided to go to the room and read instead. It was a wonderful first day, especially since in my mind, Monday was a throwaway day. Since we didn't depart til 4pm I wasn't expecting much. The people here are very nice and the ride has been extremely smooth. The only kink is that our neighbors like to hang out in the hallway. At least they're not morning people, LOL.

PS: Su is making me take the stairs everywhere. My calves are KILLING me!

Here I was...

Prepared to do a whole long post with lots and lots of details about our evening with Nally but we just got a phone call and the shuttle is leaving an hour earlier then we were told! This means no long blog with details. You get a quickie with pics.

I was starving at the airport so grabbed a meal at Popeyes in honor of Nes. I was running late but you know a girl has priorities. I haven't eatent here in awhile. The fries are freaking fantastic and the chicken was spicey, yum!Well, Su just gave me work to do so now you only get pics. I'll be back when I can to talk about dinner with Nally and Su!

It took awhile...

But I think I'm ready, well almost ready. It took me all day to get motivated enough to head to Target to get the last few things I needed. I decided I had to have a floppy hat. If I'm going to spend a large chunk of my day out doors then I need to protect my precious asset, of course I'm talking about my face! I also bought some spf 50 sunblock for my face and tanning oil for my body, LOL. I need color! It's thinning *G*. My sunbloch had one of those instant coupons on it for $2 off and the chick was like this is for a different product so I had to read the coupon to her and read the product and point out they were the same thing. Well, at least she noticed the coupon. Sometimes I get home and find they didn't use it which is irritating.

A couple of hours after I got home I finally got around to painting my nails. Sure I should have packed first but I felt like doing my nails, LOL. I normally do this earlier but I actually painted my finger nails too because I broke some and so I cut the rest short so I had to wait to do the mani cause you know they always chip. With OPI I can usually get it to last a week so wish me luck. I have to paint my nails when they're short or else my hands look like a little kids. Not the look I'm going for, LOL.

Once my nails dried I finally got around to packing, shorts, jeans, belts, dresses, sexy tops and tanks. I am a girl prepared and there is still room in my suitcase so if I can think of anything else to throw in I will.

Now to truly get into the proper mindset of the cruise I'm going to go lay down and watch Captain Ron a movie Su loves. I am not sure how I'm going to feel about it but I'll give it a shot.

Tomorrow night I'll be out with Nally and Su in Miami! Nally lives in the area so she's going to pick us up from our less then glamorous hotel and we're going to go eat, imagine that. The name of the restaurant is Mojitos. I wonder what we'll order to drink, LOL. I will check in as often as I can, probably more in the mornings then the evenings but I promise to take lots of pics and share what stories I can. My camera batteries are charging even as I type. That reminds me, time to update my ipod.

Tonight Franklin and I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At Worlds End. The last time I went to the movies was for Pirates 2 with Nes and JK and I was totally disappointed because I really enjoyed the first movie. I thought the 2nd one was too long and they tried too hard, it was missing the magic of the first one. If it wasn't for the fact that the 2nd one ended on a cliffhanger and I was craving movie theater popcorn I would have waited to see it.

I have to say, I'm glad I didn't wait. The reviews have been very mixed, I fall into the love it category. This movie was as long as the 2nd movie but it didn't FEEL long. So many people betray each other you have you need a chart but it's so funny with scenes that make you laugh out loud, scenes that make you cringe and some that make you hide your eyes (OK, just me, LOL). Jack was definitely back and I just loved him in this movie and I have to say Orlando has beefed up some, this was the most manly I've seen him and he was hot. I'm not a big fan of Keira but I really enjoyed her character in this film, she kicked ass and her mouth didn't bother me that much (I just hate the way she talks for some reason).

If you didn't like the 2nd one and were leery about seeing this, I say go for it. Franklin hadn't seen either of the previous movies and he enjoyed it too. We're going to rent the first 2 when I get back and then go back and see it again since I didn't really remember much from the 2nd movie.

Now the disappointing part is the movie theater was not stadium seating and they didn't have the flavored popcorn seasonings I enjoy so much. As long as I've been craving this and they didn't have it, what a bummer! I will have to put more pre-planning into my next movie going experience. I need the stadium seating, I'm a shifter and need as much room to move as possible!

My books are packed...

as are my bathing suits. At this rate, I will be all packed by Sunday, LOL. I had to go with the high priority items first, as you can see. I also packed plenty of undies. Now I need to work on packing the clothes to cover those undies *G*.

Good news, the watermelon I bought yesterday was a winner. Now I just need to figure out how to cut a uniform piece, it starts off thin but as I circle the watermelon it gets thicker and suddenly I have a huge piece of watermelon so tonight I just cut off a piece from the side and it was tiny! I need to find the happy medium, LOL.

My brother Adam called me yesterday. I think he's going to come visit me in July which will be fun. The problem is, figuring out where to take him. I don't think he will have any interest in going to Swinging Dick's which is where I normally bring my out of town visitors, LOL. He has expressed an interest in the coca cola tour. Am I the only one who has no interest? Guess I'll soon be learning the history of coke. Good thing I prefer coke to pepsi. I guess we'll spend the rest of the time eating and maybe going to a Braves game. Kimberly wanted to visit this summer but she wanted me to pay for the ticket. As you noticed, I'm not talking about Kim's visit this summer, LOL.

Since I can't change the color of my hair...

it's time to change the look of the blog. Really it was because I wanted to add Bo's slogan and I couldn't do that without deleting the previous header so I decided to spruce it up some while I was at it. I think Mac is rubbing off on me because right now I'm all about the pink.

I also ordered my dress from Nordys. I tried to find out if they had it locally so I could pick it up and get it altered before the cruise but the closest one was in VA and I didn't feel like driving up there to pick it up, LOL. I'm getting the dress in fuchsia since I have a red dress. Of course, I may have to order the red too if I love the fuchsia.

Speaking of fuchsia, my fuchsia plant did not survive. I have been trying desperately to keep a hanging plant alive and it just wasn't happening so I dumped out the fuchsia and re-potted one of my houseplants. You know, the plants that even if you kill them they come back to life. I have several ones of those so I just know this one will stay alive. I also took some cuttings so I can re-plant basically the only plants I can keep alive, LOL. The hanging plant looks lovely and even more importantly, it's alive, ALIVE I SAY!

I did cut some hydrangeas that are growing outside my door and added them to my plant cuttings. Too bad none of my vases made the move from LA so they're sitting in my water pitcher, LOL. Yet another thing to buy eventually.

Well the lst of my shows aired tonight. I have to say, I was expecting more. Even though the ending had a twist I didn't expect it wasn't quite the game changer that they were hyping. I was also surprised at the major death. I didn't think that was going to happen. Why didn't he run OUTSIDE the door and then shut it? It was still a good episode and the 9 month wait is going to suck but it wasn't great. I guess that could be said about a lot of tv this year. I hope there's something new on the horizon that will be exciting. I noticed a lot of crappy reality shows coming our way. I enjoy reality shows but I have no interest in America's Got Talent, The Great Inventor or anything else I've seen commercials for. Is there any summer program that you are looking forward to? Thank goodness I have books that need to be read!

All filler, no thriller!

Could the ending of Dancing with the Stars drag out any longer? By the time the end came I didn't really care who won, I just wanted to know! 2 hours is way too long for a finale to this show. Really for any reality show they only need to be a half an hour, just tell me who won, LOL. OK, if you haven't watched the show, do not read the next paragraph! You have been warned.

I have to say, as much as I wanted Joey to win I can't be too upset that Apolo won, he was a great dancer. I do think he was overscored yesterday but still, he and Juliana were fantastic throughout the series. I thought Apolo was a gracious winner and Joey a gracious loser and they both really made this series very enjoyable. It was nice to see the best 2 dancers in the finals.

My eyebrows look great. It's been while and Sadat had a forest to deal with. It's amazing what a good brow job can do for a girl!

So Su suggested I read the FAQ before the cruise and you know the first thing I honed in on was the MENU! I know it's long but I thought I would share with you my dinner options. If you haven't watched the shows...

then don't read. I have to give my thoughts on the finales I watched tonight. Franklin came over to watch Dancing with the Stars with me. I have to say, it was a let down after last week's fan freaking tastic semis but I guess its hard to live up to that. I totally think they rate Leila's dances too high, they always have. Her dances BORE me and her freestyle was awful. I was also disappointed in Apolo's freestyle. I can't believe he got a perfect score. I'm sorry but the breakdancing doesn't do it for me and why are they saying it hasn't been done? That's exactly what Mario did for his freestyle last season. Now let's get to my fave Joey. I have to agree his cha cha wasn't very cha cha like, Franklin and I want to know why his partner who should know better didn't choreagraph it better but his freestyle was amazing! I know Len was bummed he gave Apolo a 10 after seeing Joey's dance which was far superior in my totally unbiased opinion. I know I am right because Franklin was rooting for Apolo and he agreed. I usually only vote online but I could only vote once there so I tried to call in and the phone was busy everytime I called. I hope that means it was because everyone in the country was voting for Joey, LOL. They have another dance tomorrow so if Joey gets 30 there and Apolo doesn't Joey can move into the #1 position. Keep your fingers crossed!

And now Heroes. I have to say, I felt the pace of the show was a little slow. It was trying to get everyone lined up to where they needed to be but I must admit, the ending was totally satisfying. How unusual. It almost felt like a series finale instead of a season finale. Last year Grey's Anatomy was my go to show, this year it was Heroes. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every episode and I can't wait to see what happens next season.

Tomorrow I'm getting my eyebrows done. It's all about getting ready for my trip. I think I need to pull out my suitcase and start figuring out what I'm going to wear. I was going to bring a small suitcase but decided why? I need options, LOL.

To buy or not to buy

So you all know my black dress with stripes is my magic dress. That is the dress I wore Fri night and boy do I wear it well. My question is, should I buy another one in a different color or is it too much?I'm actually leaning more towards the fuschia colored one. Let me know your opionions.

Today I went to Ross and bought another bathing suit, the last one. The orange one was a little tight and since the diet wasn't successful, I doubt I'll be wearing it since the diet was not very successful, LOL. I was looking for new walking shoes and tried Ross and Marshall's but no luck, I may have to pay full price for my workout shoes. Oh the horror!

The good news is I talked to Sarah from New Zealand last night. We had plans to talk and luckily we didn't chat til later on in the day so I had time to recover. We had a fabulous chat. It was good to catch up with her.

I also went to the market today and bought some fresh corn and watermelon. Sad to say the watermelon wasn't very good so I will have to go back and get another one. I take my watermelon seriousley. It's my favorite fruit. One of my favorite eating stories is when Nancy and I were at a seafood buffet with my siblings and she was embarrassed because we ate all of the watermelon. I encourage the kids to get my money's worth! I only boiled one ear of corn because I knew if I cooked two I would eat two!

I spent the weekend playing on NBC.com catching up on Heroes scoop. I read all of their graphic novels. You don't really learn all that much except that Daddy Petrelli and Linderman were in the war together and Linderman saved his life. But when they gave their reports Linderman denied his healing abilities so Daddy was discharged. Later on Linderman got in contact with Daddy again. Can't wait for the Heroes finale but I may have to wait til Tue to watch it since Dancing with the Stars will be on and I don't know if it's one or two hours. Vote for Joey!

My head is killing me...

Yesterday was my friend Shannon's birthday so we went out to Ten Pin Alley to celebrate with a bunch of her friends. Shannon had warned me that some of her friends were conservative to I would have to table the bath house conversation I was having with Franklin, LOL. TPA is an upscale bowling alley/bar. Upscale in that they charge you $80 per hour to bowl. No thank you! We all hung out in the lounge. Food was a priority for me. I had a dish that was lightly battered shrimp, calimari and zucchini that was quite tasty. They seasoned the batter which is good because I wasn't a big fan of the sauce. I only had one drink there because I was the designated driver.

Franklin and I had plans to go to SD's which was literally up the street from there. We didn't share those plance with S's friends but then afterward they wanted go to a different bar, one close to home but further from SD. They left for their bar but a couple of the girls who were trying to figure out where to go decided to go with us since they had never been and you know I love breaking in newbies. So off we went with S in tow, I hope her other friends had fun at the other bar, LOL.

It was still relatively early when we got there but they didn't want to sit in the front so we sat all the way in the back, ok, one table back, LOL. I love the friendliness of this place, I spend a lot of time talking to the gay men I meet there. I have numbers for a couple of them. I only had 2 drinks there and felt fine. My night started at 7pm and we left at 1:30am so 3 drinks in 6 1/2 hours is not why I feel like shit. It really is lack of water. Alcohol dehydrates and I only had 2 cups of water all night. If I was at home I would have drank over a liter of water in that time frame so I'm drinking something that is going to dehydrate me and not even drinking my normal amount of water. I have to really working on drinking enough water while I'm on the cruise or else I will only be able to drink one night because lord knows I have no interest in drinking right now. I need food so will eventually have to leave the house but it won't be for awhile. I have a snack bar that will prevent my stomach from eating itself, LOL.

BTW, the DJ has great ears! He was giving girls shit for not tipping the dancers (which we all know I'm good at if I am not too busy talking, LOL) so I turn to my table and say, I'm not tipping anyone til they're naked! He heard me! How do I know this? Because he pointed me out and announced what I said, LOL. I was impressed. He said I should tip them to get them naked but I know how it works there, they're naked by the third song, I can wait, LOL.

I am woman, hear me roar!

OK, I'm not that powerful but I did go to the gym today, woot woot! I so didn't want to go but my nieghbor called and she didn't cancel this time so off we went. We had to work out around my tv schedule because it was the season finale of The Office and I didn't want to miss it, LOL. So we went to the gym and worked out during the show since I didn't want to be in transition. How awesome was the Office tonight? I digress. How awesome am I for going to the gym? OK, I wanted to do more then a half an hour on the elliptical but my shins are still bothering me so getting new shoes are a high priority this weekend. I will also be on the lookout for a new cocktail dress for the cruise.

I was going to go tonight after my nap but since I went to the gym didn't have time to go shopping. Tomorrow I need to color my hair, I have to have time for the excess color to wash out, LOL. Plus, it's my neighbor Shannon's birthday so I want to glam up and the grey hair brings down the sexy factor!

I'm alive, LOL.

Just got a worried em from BAM since I didn't blog last night. All is well, I was tired last night and meant to blog first thing this morning but got caught up working on projects. Sorry.

The night before last I just could not get to sleep and it wasn't because someone was snoring in my bed! I think it was close to 4am when I finally passed out in exhaustion. Needless to say, I didn't wake up til 10am but I was still way behind on my sleep. Ever since I've moved to Atlanta I have had more insomnia then my entire life. Sure you could say it's because I haven't been going to the gym but that's not it, I didn't go to the gym in OR and had no problem sleeping. I think it's a combo of not having a set schedule (I used to get up with Jordan in OR) and my job. My work in LA very rarely affected me at the end of the work day. Unless I had a big event I basically left my job at the door but now I'm always trying to think of things and work on projects and it's hard to turn off my brain, even if I am exhausted. Then I didn't take a nap yesterday because I had early dinner plans, right in the middle of my normal nap time and it was such a good tv night I had no time to get a nap in before America's Next Top Model even though I desperately wanted one. On a good note, that meant as soon as I closed my eyes I went to sleep, hooray!

Let's talk ANTM. Even though I didn't like Renee, she rocked the Cover Model shoot AND commercial. They always say it's about that event, but it's so not. She did better then both the girls and got sent home yet if someone else takes one bad pic even though they took great pics all season long they sometimes get sent home. I hate when there is no consistency in judging and yes Jaslene takes fierce pics but she can't speak worth a damn. Her commercial looked like she was yelling at the cam her mouth was so big. I wanted Natasha to win but she was the lesser of 3 evils. Really no one to root for this season.

Lost was also great last night. I can't wait for the season finale. I'm so glad all of the finales will be over while I am on my trip. The Office finale is tonight and Grey's I'll be watching the Office and Scrubs and catching up on Grey's tomorrow. So much good tv!

Well the diet lasted a day, LOL

I am just not a diet kind of girl. Dao had to go to Buford and asked if I wanted to go, I said no but of course changed my mind, LOL. I've decided instead of dieting I'll work on portion control. I only ate half of my soup for lunch and then only half of my sandwhich for dinner. You know I wanted to eat the rest of the soup and the rest of the sandwhich, LOL. Of course, it wasn't all wine and roses, we were at a Vietnamese restaurant that we've become friends with the owner so since it was slow she sat down and chatted with us and then she pulled out butter and sugar coated baked bread thinly sliced and of course I had to eat a couple of pieces, I'm weak, damn it! But I didn't eat as much as I normally would have, LOL.

I finally got around to using my swiffer wet jet. It took me awhile to get my place vacuumed because I was trying to do it during commercial breaks so 2 hours later I finally mopped. I have to say, it's quite convenient and the spray works great. Does it clean as well as a regular mop? No, but that could be because my floor needed to be mopped so badly, LOL. I have to say, the swiffer wet jet gets my thumbs up.

Dancing With the Stars was a nail biter tonight. So happy that Joey made it, so nervous that Apolo wasn't going to make it. It would have been awful if he wasn't in the finals. I thought Ian and Cheryle were a class act. He did have the lowest score so I thought it was very fair.

I didn't make it to the gym tonight. My neighbor cancelled and while I could have worked out myself I am sore from my walk yesterday (my hips, shins and blisters on my ankles, LOL) I walked for longer then I should have apparently, that and old age. Good thing tomorrow is another day!

I did it!

I finally got my lazy ass out and went walking today! It's been awhile. I live in a great area where people are walking or jogging all day long, of course, I was the only one walking with my purse, LOL. The only way I could motivate myself was to walk to the mall to buy my sister's bday present, a gift card, LOL. As i was walking down my street I noticed that there are a ton of houses for sale. One of them actually had a flyer so I looked at it and the house is over a million dollars! The house is nice but dayam, a million here buys you a 4 bedroom house, it's not even a mansion. It's location, location, location! Guess I won't be looking to buy in this area, LOL.

I also turned down a cinammon roll today. I know, can you believe it? I was chatting with one of the postal workers who was on his lunch break and he offered me one and I was strong and said no. It's a good thing I did because I went to Filene's Basement (similar to a Loehman's) and tried on dresses and they did not have a magic mirror! I almost thought it was a funhouse mirror but I looked pretty decent in my undies, LOL.

I made plans to go workout with my neighbor but I I had to schedule it around my tv schedule. She wanted to go at 7 but then that would have meant I would be on the way home in the middle of Gilmore Girls and this is the series finale so that was unacceptable so I will be sweating away on the elliptical trying not to cry. Whether I'm crying from being on the elliptical or from GG has yet to be seen.

I also spent the day looking at shore excursions for our cruise. Are you surprised that the two I liked best in Key West were eating and drinking tours? The Cozumel one I'm hoping to do a race. Of course it would not be a foot race, LOL. It's sort of like a scavenger hunt. I'm picturing it as sort of a miniature version of the amazing race. That would be fun. It was hard to pick only 2 I liked so I gave Su 4 or 5 excursions to pick from.

I noticed while walking how white I am. It's not pretty so I bought some suntan oil and will try to get some sun over the next few days, Of course, now it's supposed to cool off, grrr! My plan is to lie out on the picnic table outside, we don't have much in the way of a yard, I hope the neighbors don't mind, LOL.

I also bought the new Loretta Chase, another read for my cruise. I think I'm stocked for it! Now to find the dress. Since I hace plans to go to the gym tomorrow I guess I'll wait til Wed to walk to Nordstrom's. I don't want to overdue it, LOL.

I also stretched tonight for the first time in a long time. I will try to make this more of a daily thing. My hips hurt when I walk, not when I'm walking around the mall but when I'm striding, or rather, my version of a stride. Lina says it's either the shoes or lack of stretching so I am going to buy new shoes and start stretching more. I also bought some joint medicine but havent started taking it yet because I bought it when I was sick so I'll start that tomorrow.

Wow, what an action packed day! No wonder I'm tired.

BTW, is anyone else following Dancing with the Stars? Tonight's episode had so many freaking 10s, it was awesome. Everyone really stepped up their game. Out of 4 dancers dancing 2 dances, there were 6 perfect scores of 30 and the lowest score of the night was 28. I really want Joey to win and he was in the bottom two last week so I voted online for him. Heroes was also awesome but I missed a few minutes because I was flipping back and forth between Heroes and Dancing, LOL.

I did not eat to the point of pain...

Which is what I did the last time BAM and I went to the All U can eat Korean place, I ate just short of that, LOL. She practiced much more self restraint then I did but luckily Mr BAM was there to keep up with me. Poor Charlie was not feeling too well but she was still as sweet as ever. BAM also brought me the new Charliane Harris to read but the hard part is waiting until the cruise to read it. She says once I start I won't put it down. I haven't picked it up, LOL.

After we gorged ourselves (OK, I gorged myself) we went to the Super H Mart. I LOVE going there with the BAM family! They are so open to trying new things. They bought taro root because she wants to try to make taro chips and then he ggot the yucca because I was talking it up and all kinds of other goodies. They also had a lot of fun sampling the different foods which is how they ended up buying two bags of dumlpings, those free samples will get you every time, LOL. I always have fun with the BAM family and can't wait til their pool is opened up. I need to maintain my tan when I get back from my cruise, LOL.

Of course, the first thing I did when I cme home was take a nap. I think something is wrong, I could only nap for a half an hour and that's been the case lately. I hate it! What happened to my 2 hour naps? At least an hour! I would say I'm not being physical enough but I'm tired enough, LOL. Yes, I'm going to either walk tomorrow or go to the gym. I'm on my 2 week countdown. I am making an appt to get my brows done (you don't even want to see them right now! I had no idea my eyebrows grew so close to my eyes, LOL) and will be coloring my hair within the next couple of days. It seems like I have to color my hair more often to keep up with the greys, color me sad, LOL. My plan is to wear the clothes I bought for my Vegas trip but I don't know, I may have to buy at least one new dress .

What I did buy today was some king crab legs for dinner! I can't resist them. This time I only had 2 legs instead of 3. I think I prefer 3 legs, I'd rather have too much instead of not enough. I also put together my swiffer. I thought about swiffering tonight but I need to vacuum first and I couldn't vacuum until after Survivor and it was 3 hours tonight so it will have to wait til tomorrow. I was sad that yau man didn't make it to the final 3 but I'm happy that Earl won. The season started off slow but it definitely got interesting after the merge.

Tomorrow is a new Heroes, yay! Can't wait to see what happens next.

I can't believe it's almost midnight!

This day has flown by! Well, it could be because I actually left the home, LOL. First, I must backtrack to last night. I was going to watch Lost in bed last night around 9pm and finally finished watching it around midnight. I was so busy chatting on the phone with my peeps. I was texting with Linda and she thought screw that and called me and while I was on with her Rachael called so I chatted with her and while on the phone with her Nancy called so I ended up being on the phone for a few hours but it was a great way to spend my evening and I didn't need to drink anything else because I was too busy talking, LOL.

I also caught up on Heroes last night and this morning I watched last week's 2 hours Grey's so I'm catching up. Dao called while I was watching and we decided to meet for lunch after checking out this fabric store. We went to lunch at this italian restaurant called Figos and we had ravioli and it was so good. You pick your ravioli and then you pick the sauce you want to go with it. I had crab with wild mushroom sauce, delish! And Dao had wild mushroom with eggplant parmesana, I liked mine better but hers had more cheese, LOL. We had planned to go next door for dessert but we were stuffed so we didn't.

We then decided to go to an antique store down the street, we missed our turn so we made a pit stop at the chandelier shop. I am so bummed I didn't have my camera, I didn't put it in my purse after the last time I downloaded my pics. There were chandeliers everywhere, hence the name, LOL. But there were rows and rows sitting on the floor and they were hanging everywhere some so giant I thought they could replace Xmas trees and it was 2 floors worth! It was cool to walk around.

We also went across the street to check out this little art gallery but they didn't have anything that interested us. So we headed back to our original destination, the antique store and it was huge. We had no idea how big it was. The problem is, I had dressed for lunch, not for shopping so we couldn't do the whole store, my dogs were barking and I was saving what life my feet had left in them for Ross, LOL. So we will have to go back to said store when I am more appropriately attired.

At Ross I scored. I bought a new swimsuit. Yes, I have a lot of them but I only have 2 I wear on a regular basis. I needed a new one for the cruise. It is an orange bikini with gold accents. I'll have to wear it early in the cruise because the material is not very stretchy and I will be stretching my suits, LOL. I also bought some cream sandals that aren't too casual and not too dressy, perfect for wearing around the ship and I got a pan. Turns out I don't have any pans with lids which Lina needed when she was here. You know I need to make sure my guest chefs have all that they need, LOL.

Needless to say by the time i got home it was time for a much needed nap. Once I woke up I watched last week's dancing with the stars and then spent the rest of the evening watching LOTR: The Return of the King. Actually, my favorite scene from all three movies just played, where Aragorn says, "my friends, you bow before no one" to the hobbits. To me the movie was all about their journey and it truly touches me everytime I see that scene. I'm talking about Merry and Pippin, I actually think Frodo's journey while the most pivotal was the most boring, LOL.

I also spent the evening reading more about the cruise ship Fascination. Turns out they have a topless deck so no need for me to work on my all over tan in the room. Well, I guess I can work on the bottom part in the room, LOL. Lucky Su!

Grey goose pear vodka is calling my name...

Well, it's called my name and I've already answered the call, LOL. I find my favorite way to enjoy it is with tonic and some lime. The tonic doesn't overwhelm the pear flavor, it's quite tasty. Normally a bottle of GG wil sit in my freezer until my next visit from a girlfriend but not this pear vodka. It's quite dangerous. I've already had one tonight and while I want another I figure I'd be asleep by 10 if I have it, LOL. That's why I decided I should blog early, just in case I feel like having another taste!

I made a wonderful scavenger meal today. I needed something for lunch so had to piece together what I had laying around the house. I had a jar of pesto sauce I bought last week to eat with bread so I decided to make some pasta since I had some wheat spaghetti in my cupboard. I also had leftover broccoli from when Lina was here and some yucca root that I had bought awhile ago that I was tempted to toss but decided I should cook it instead. I boiled the yucca and then sliced it to stir fry in garlic with the broccoli and some seasonings, and I heated up the pesto with some olive oil to thin it out and tossed in the cooked spaghetti and when that was done I put the cooked veggies on top with some parmesan cheese and it was fantastic. Talk about a pleasant surprise. Sorry that I don't have a pic of it but my expectations weren't high when I cooked it, LOL.

So I received no book recomendations from anyone yesterday. Is there nothing bookwise that is exciting anyone?

It's thundering outside tonight, trying desperately to rain. While I'm not a fan of the rain I realize how necessary it is and if it's going to rain, the evening is a perfect time. Once Ghost Whisperer is over I'm going to crawl into bed and either read or watch some computer tv, LOL. Yes, I may have a drink on my nightstand too, why not?

I is tired...

Nothing new there, LOL. I'm also way behind on my tv shows. The good thing is while I'm on my cruise all of my shows will be on hiatus. I am 2 episodes behind on Greys, 1 ep behind on Heroes, 1 on Lost, 1 on Survivor, guess you know what I'll be doing this weekend.

Last night I noticed my computer was not fully charged even though I had it plugged in. I look down and my power adapter had fried, arghhhh! I replaced one from my last puter but that was a few years old, this one was not. So I had to minimise my computer time last night and today until I could get to the mall which wasn't til this evening. I was all prepared for them to put up a fuss when I went in to get my cable replaced for free (they run about $80) but I had no problems, thank goodness. I don't like to bring out Hardass unless I have to, LOL.

While at the mall I noticed that Waldenbooks is going out of business so all of their books are 25% off. Can you believe I could only think of one book I wanted, JD Robb's Born in Death. I feel like I haven't read a Robb in forever. I think it's been close to a year and considering I'm used to reading them every 6 months that's a long time for no Roarke. When I lived in LA I used to get my books from the library and in OR I'd read Linda's. La Nora doesn't need my money, I need it more, LOL. So I had to wait for Born to come out in paperback so now I can get on the every 6 month track again.

I saw Linda Howard's latest category there but I haven't heard ANYONE talk about it. Have any of you read it? What do you think? I have a couple of Nocturne books (harlequins paranormals) but haven't read them yet. Usually when Linda Howard has a new book out people talk about it and I can't waste my hard earned money on a dud, that money is earmarked for food. So I'd love to hear what you think.The store will be open for a couple of more weeks. I'm not the type to wander the bookstore. I usually go in looking for specific books so give me ideas on what to look for.

Also, wanted to let you know I'm a 100% cured! I guess I should stop eating everything in sight now, those calories actually count, LOL. Plus, I'll be in my bathing suit soon. On Monday I'm going to really go into lockdown but can't start til then because BAM and I have a date with an all you can eat Korean buffet on Sunday, woot woot! Might as well make my last meal a good one, LOL.

The cruise is booked!

I know, that's wicked fast, LOL. Su is a cruise professional so I just put myself in her hands. She found a cheap cruise for us out of Miami at the end of May. Of course, anyone who would like to join us is welcome. We're leaving the 28th and coming back on the 1st. We stop in Key West and Cozumel, Mexico. Here is a pic of our room. It's so much nicer then I expected. I pretty much was picturing metal bunkbeds, LOL. Makes me even more excited abut the trip even though I have 2 weeks to get into bikini shape. Which means I better cut back on te guac and sour cream. Tonight my burrito was a black bean one with cheese and salsa verde, LOL.

Of course, that all went out the door when my neighbors showed up. They brought cheeze and crackers and of course we had to have drinks and then I pulled out the chocolate, LOL. We had a great time catching up and gossiping but I did miss tonight's episode of Lost. Good thing it repeats online or I would have had to kick them out. Franklin noticed how clean my place was, of course he was looking past the basket of clothes that needed to be folded (I was going to fold during Lost) and I told him to not look at the floor but I'm so happy I cleaned the kitchen today, LOL. I did buy the batteries for my swiffer so I'm one step closer.
Maybe one day I'll let my guests look at the floor but not tonight!

Change of plans...

So I was planning on going to RWA this year, mainly because it was in Dallas and not too far from Su. Well we planned on going but we did nothing about getting a hotel, LOL. Now the hotel that it's in is sold out and unless you're going to the conference the backup hotel is PRICEY so Su suggested a change of venue. For that kind of money she'd rather do a carribean cruise and what did I think of that? I thought, hell yeah! So while I will miss seeing some wonderful authors I will console myself sipping pin coladas, working on my tan while wearing a skimpy bikini, LOL.

I don't know if you noticed but I added a search engine to my blog. This way if you would like to look up some of my older words of wisdom you can easily find it but more importantly, it will make it easier for you to find my perfect summertime salad, my cucumber salad recipe, LOL. You're welcome BAM!

I have to say, I'm almost ready to take my stand up routine on the road. I had so many booklets that I was at the window of my local post office for over 20 minutes and you know I must keep them entertained. I was telling them today all about Swinging Dicks, well that conversation was done with a lot of whispers and lots of laughter. She had never heard of it so of course I had to enlighten her. I told her we should go for our company Christmas party to celebrate the birth of Jesus, LMAO. She told me to go to someone else's window next time, LOL. I had her covering her face in laughter the whole convo. Now you see why they wave to me when I'm in line, EG!

I just started watching the Gilmore Girls last year but I must say I'm sad to see it go. Today was the 2nd to the last ep and I teared up 3 times! I cried when Rory's grandparents were singing her an awful song. I'm such a sap, LOL.

Morning everyone!!!

I was on the phone last night so I didn't get around to posting. Sowwie bout that. Not that I had much to talk about. Dao and I went to lunch for some Vietnamese noodles, bun, and she also wanted to stop in a thrift store. Well, it's not really a thrift store because this place is so ridiculously expensive. I might as well buy new.

For dinner I wanted to make another veggie and chicken burrito. I had frozen the leftovers because I knew we wouldn't get around to eating it this weekend but the one thing missing was the guac so off to the store I went. Before I went to the grocery store I stopped and got a pedi. My feet have been looking awful. Not the paint job but the skin has been peeling and it's gross. I decided I needed a pro to take care of it but I must say, other then the massage chair I was not impressed. I won't go back there again.

For my guac I did a quick Linda version. I bought the guac packet to take care of the seasoning part of it but then I bought goodies to put in it. I had lime and cilantro at home, thought I had onions but didn't and then I picked up a jalapeno and some chipotle to add the kick and it was tasty! My burrito wasn't as pretty as Lina's but since it was her leftovers it tasted as good, LOL. I even heated up my leftover mushrooms and broccoli to add to it.

So basically all I did yesterday was eat, yup, life is back to normal! Bo, I received the Nip/Tuck DVDs, thank you! I will get season 1 in the mail to you today!

I swear, it's amazing how used to having on of your closest friends near. It was a quickie 4 day trip but as soon as I dropped Lina off at the airport I was ready to pick her back up again, too bad her other friends already had plans for her tonight, LOL.

Lina wanted to come to town to relax, you know if you need relaxation I am your girl. I like to bring people down to my level, LOL. So while we did run around a couple of nights yesterday and today was all about chilling. It's nice to go if you want to go but to not feel the pressure to. We laid around in our pjs until the last possible moment. I went to bed at 12:30am last night and was woken up at 4:30am because my neighbors decided to have an after party at their apartment. They are in the apt above me and the clatter above my head wasn't too bad because it was more in the living room so I could block it out but then they decided to go outside to smoke which would be outside my window. I was debating whether I was going to be THAT neighbor. But I figured, at 4:30am I am, LOL. I just went outside and asked them to keep it down. I think I really surprised them but then again they were drunk. They said they would and one of the girls was like, hey beautiful. I wasn't in the mood to be flattered or flirted with, I just shut the door on her, LOL. THey weren't exactly quiet after that but they were more aware of the noise and I was able to get back to sleep. Would I have called the police? Probably, if it got too loud. If it was midnight I would have been cool but not at that time in the morning. If my ipod hadn't been in the car I would have blasted it this morning. Lucky for them, I'm lazy, LOL.

I don't really need to recover from my Lina visit, I didn't drink all that much, I was worried about how it would affect me since the food poisoning but it will be an adjustment. It's so nice to wake up and have someone there to chat with or not. I enjoy the comfortable silences also. I hope that you all had a great weekend. I know that I did. Now it's back to the real world for me. Yup, took a nap as soon as I got home from the airport today. I know, it's not like my life is tough, LOL. And I have wonderful friends here to keep me company!

I'm sitting here blogging instead of reading my book that I'm dying to read. Lina is already sacked out on the couch reading but I knew once I started I wouldn't stop to blog and I did promise to tell you about my dinner last night. Lina and I have a deal, whenever she visits she cooks for me at least one meal, I really like this deal, LOL. The menu she decided on and whole heartedly agreed to was chicken and vegetable burritos with spanish rice. Now don't think I got off scott free. Lina and Linda like to put me to work while they cook but I can't complain, it's fun to stand in the kitchen with a girlfriend gabbing and tasting. I just don't like standing in the kitchen by myself, LOL.

Nancy called while dinner was being cooked so Lina plated my food for me. This is what she brought to me. My mouth dropped open, it was gorgeous! Of course, I had to rub it in to Nancy. But the best part was, it tasted as good as it looked. The inside was stuffed with bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, broccoil, chicken, black beans, guacamole and cheese! The plate had salsa verde and sour cream!The burritos were huge but I did justice to them and finished almost every bite!

We decided to check out the straight strip club since I have free passes and I'm happy to say that there were more men there. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the fun vibe that Swinging Dick's has. Su, there was a lot more nudity this time though but the price of the lap dance went up which I thought was a crock because I heard the dancer ask someone so I was ready to walk but since we were leaving we got the dance, it was nothing to write home about, you know how jaded I am, LOL. BTW, we didn't leave the house until around 11pm. We took our time getting ready plus we had to digest our meal. The "dress" I'm wearing is actually a shirt, hence the shortness of it (barely covers the ass). I would hate to be overdressed in a strip club, LOL. Lina gave me her seal of approval, otherwise I wouldn't have had the nerve to wear it (unless I was in Vegas). I sort of felt like I was dressed like Robin Hood, LOL. Of course, the men didn't mind the shortness of my dress, imagine that.

When we were at the bar at the Coronet Club one of the dancers was talking to me and asking my name. When I asked him his he said it was Storm. I asked him what his real name was. He said, "isn't that a little personal?'" My response was,"I'm going to see you naked, isn't that a little personal?" Then he quickly mumbled his real name, LOL. Tyler, the guy Su and I had a dance with before was still there, he looked better and was getting tipped more. When he came over he didn't recognize me so I said remember, 2 asians, LOL. Then he remembered our dance, what can I say, it was memorable.... for him, LOL.

Since it was dead there we headed back to SD, where there are a lot more men and more importanly much more energy. Chase was on stage when I got there but I didn't notice because I was just checking everything out because it was so much more packed but I heard his friend point me out so he waved. Awww, so sweet, LOL. Then I saw Bernardo, my waiter. He doesn't work on Thursdays. I grabbed him and he gave me a hug and went and reserved me a table, now that's service! We stayed there til closing time, they had 6 guys on stage most of the night, it was nice and then near closing time I got my dance with Chase and then off we went to the Waffle House.

Lina had never been and you know I was excited to pop her cherry. I am proud to say she cleaned her plate (hashbrowns and a grilled cheese sammich) and I did not (way more food then her but still, LOL). By the time we got home it was 3:30am. Did I mention we needed to be up at 7am to go visit Karen?

The drive up was awful but spending the day hanging with Karen is so much fun. She is a friend first and so we all sat around talking for 4 hours before I crumbled, I really needed some sleep, LOL. Once we got home I went straight for my bed an hour and a half later I felt more human. The original plan was to have pizza but we had leftover guac which is precious so we decided nachos before we even remembered it was Cinco de Mayo. I swear, it looked like a glorious pizza coming out of the oven. I had to take a picture. Puts to shame the nachos I had earlier in the week. Even the chips that didn't have anything on it tasted good just from being baked some more. Of course, I had to show you the nachos with the fixins. I lived up to the name glutton (or is that down, LOL) tonight. I had 2 servings! I couldn't resist.

Tonight, we're staying in and reading and just enjoying each other's company. I have a freezer full of booze and books that need to be read plus we have the hers and hers nightstands, a perfect topper to my weekend with Lina. Hope you all are having a safe and fun Cinco de Mayo!

Our very own Badass Warrior Princess...

We all have it in us, the badass warrior princess or our inner super hero. I've found the site for us to let our inner warrior out and of course I had to share. I am known far and wide as the fierce warrior, The Napper! Heaven help you if you keep me from my nap! There will be hell to pay! Nancy made the comment that I was quite tall and skinny to which I say, of course! I'm not going to dream up a short squat superhero me, duh!

Lina went a bit more kickass then the girly big hair super hero I chose. She is a badass warrior princess! If she doesn't kick your butt her dragon will! But I'm guessing she won't need to use her dragon, LOL.

The first person I emailed about this new site was Libby, the original Badass Warrior Princess but I didn't send her the link, she needs to get it from my blog and she also needs to send me the pic so I can post it. I can't wait to see what she comes up with. There are so many options, we're all going to look so different. Make sure you look at everything because you have the option to change the colors on almost anything and most options have a couple of pages to choose from. I've been wanting to do a superhero generator for awhile but most of them were crappy. This one is so awesome that it's worth sharing with my mannions. Make sure you have at least a half an hour to play, you won't regret it. Create your own superhero remember, once you create it, save it and send it my way. You have to do a screen capture to save it you can look in your help menu to see how to do it. Have fun playing.

I knew it wouldn't be long before the whip was brought out. I love this image of Joanie, not many women can pull off stripes so well, LOL. Bo is pissed because she doesn't have any arrows. If she would stop shooting them at her DH she would have some, LOL.This pic is so Bo, I love it! She says this is how she looks when she's hunting, LOL. She also says if she was a superhero she would be shooting arrows into people's asses all of the time so maybe it's best she's not, LOL.

Alright, you know my master plan was to get my house fully cleaned before she got here. I bought a swiffer wet jet to do the mopping with (I'm all about convenience) but as I was putting it together I realized it needs BATTERIES! Hello? A battery for my mop? Who would have thunk? Nes thought I should go back to the store and buy some and have the house clean before Lina got here, I decided I needed a nap before Lina got here instead, LOL.

I also washed my car. It really was embarrassing driving that walking poop shoot around so that made me feel better. Too bad it didn't get all of the tree gunk off of it, but it got all of the poop and most of the gunk so I could be seen in public again. I thought about vacuuming my car out, it really needs it, but of course, I came to my senses and decided to go home and "clean" LOL.

After my nap it was off to get Lina! Of course, I'm not even halfway there by the time she landed but Atlanta takes forever to get bags out of baggage claim so she didn't have to wait too long. The first stop was the grocery store. I told you I was going to wait for her to get here. There were firemen at the entrance holding boots for donations. I had never seen them do this before but Lina has. Of course I suggested to them that would make more money if they danced for us and even more money if they started unbuttoning their shirts as they danced (now why would I, of all people think about men taking their clothes off and dancing?). This guy said he would if we went in the back. I told him I would have to document it, He thought I was joking about my camera, until I pulled it out, LOL. We both decided to suck in our guts and take a pic. You know I was chatting up all the firemen and cracking them up and when we walked in the store Lina said one of them was checking out my ass. My response, "well he should." Modest to the very end, LOL. When we walked out I told them I already gave but I would give more if they danced, Nope, not even for charity would they dance, LOL.

Then we went home, laid out our food, fixed some drinks and proceeded to play catch up and chat, eat and drink, rinse, repeat, LOL. I don't know where this idea came from (blinking ever so innocently) but we decided to go to Swinging Dick's so I stopped drinking. We weren't going for a few hours but better safe then sorry. Plus, we needed time to beautify. We decided to go Thur night so it wouldn't be too crowded and it wasn't, LOL. Lina wasn't ready to sit towards the front so we sat in the back and chit chatted around naked men. It was funny because it really was like we were sitting at a normal bar because we were paying way more attention to each other then to the dancers. Lnia heard one of the guys behind us mention the fact that we were lesbians because we weren't looking at the guys. What can I say, I was too busy laughing and joking with Lina to look at the naked dicks. Of course, we eventually made our way forward and you can't be there without getting a lap dance, it's only $10 so we shared dance with a young cutie named Chase. I chatted him up afterwards til I sent him on his way. I didn't want to interfere with his work too much. I'm considerate like that. I really liked it when he told me he thought I was 25, LOL.

I told Lina I'm not tipping anyone on stage til they're naked. They dance for 3 songs and with each song they take off more clothes so by the last song they're naked and on each song they rotate where they are on stage. Well Chase was in front of us but he had his pants on so I gave him a buck but told him I would give him more when he was naked. Right after I had tipped him the DJ was making comments about people being there and not tipping, Lina was at the bar getting drink so I leaned over to talk to the boys next to us and said, "thank goodness I just tipped!" I had fun chatting them up. When it was time for Chase to get naked he called me over. I was l like, take it off, his undies were still on! He called me over again so I went and that's when he took them off, LOL. He had a tattoo on his stomach that I didn't notice before when he was dancing for us (I was paying attn to other things) and I couldn't see what it said. He said it says, "I love asians" LOL! Smart boy! Anyway, I had a goodbye dance with him soon after. We were tired. Needless to say, the goodbye dance was fun, EG!

The finishing touches...

Have I mentioned the fact that I'm a procrastinator? I may have mentioned it a time or two. I looked at Lina's flight info last night and realized that she was coming in sooner then I thought so instead of having all day to do things I really only have half the day so I should have done some cleaning last night, of course, that is not what happened, LOL. I just finished cleaning my bathroom, including the tub (pats myself on the back) and after I shower I'll throw the laundry in the wash and head to Target, I need to pick up a mop so I can actually mop my floors. I know, I haven't mopped since I moved in but my floors are dark so I prefer to live in blessed ignorance. But cleaning up with a sponge is no longer an option, it's time. I also need to buy more toilet paper since I went through my last package much quicker then planned, LOL. I'm debating whether to stop at the grocery store or just wait til Lina gets here. I'll prolly wait because you know what a procrastinator I am *G*. I did clean out my fridge yesterday. Threw away a lot of things that went bad in it while I was recuperating. Then washed everything down. Here is a basic rundown of what's in my fridge, 7-up (bought fo rmy upset stomach that I never drank), water, chocolate, pineapple juice (bought as a mixer I never used), Chambord (to make flirtinis, too bad I can't get the top off of it), cheese (parmesan and blue) and jellies and jams. I wonder what Lina can mix up with those ingredients, LOL.

On my way home I will run my car through a car wash, I don't want to embarrass Lina when I pick her up, LOL. I also need to put gas in my car since I'm almost running on empty. So much to do and I move so slowly! It's a good thing Lina wants a relaxing weekend after all of her running around lately, I can so do relaxing. I promised her a day of laying in bed reading side by side, since now she has her own night stand she can have her grey goose martini sitting next to her so she doesn't have to interupt my reading by having me hand her her drink, LOL. I don't know why I cleaned the shower, I don't know if we'll shower this weekend, wait, it's Lina visiting me, not Su, we'll shower, LOL!

My car was involved in a drive by...

Not a drive by shooting but a drive by pooping! It's awful! I park in the same spot I've parked in since I moved in and now all of a sudden I'm overwhelmed in bird shit and tree droppings. I am not a happy camper. It's to the point where it's embarrassing. It happened yesterday. Yes, I should have taken care of it already but you know how lazy I am, LOL. But I will have to take care of it tomorrow, it takes a lot to embarrass me when it comes to my car, I use rain as my car wash, my last one had a hood that was a different color red then the rest of the car and the window was taped up but it's gotten to that point. When I was at Staples last night the cashier offered to carry out my bags for me and I had to warn him about my car, he's the one who commented on my drive by (hangs head in shame). I even thought about washing my car myself but then came to my senses and remembered how lazy I am so now I need to find a car wash, LOL.

The good news is my shoes are no longer strewn about in 3 different area codes, I've contained the masses and put them away. I also put the vacuum away, so what if I vacuumed yesterday, it only took me 24 hours to wrap the cord and move it to my office, LOL. I also did the dishes but as soon as I wash a dish I dirty a dish, I hate how that works, LOL.

I was washing my sheets today when I was ready for my nap so I waited til my sheets were dried but when I went down the dryer door had fallen open so they weren't dry, argghh! I turned the dryer back on and decided to nap on my couch. It was a good call, I napped for an hour! Lately my naps were not satisfying me, I'd fall asleep for 10 minutes then wake up. You know that is painful for me. So this afternoon was heavenly. I slept for an hour but it felt like two. I may have to try napping on the sofa more often.
