Leiha decided it was time to do another rant and rave because she feels like it.
Leiha wants to know who keeps thinking mustard is a good color for clothes. Leiha walked thru the mall this past fall (yes, Leiha has been thinking about this one for awhile) and saw a lot of stores displaying mustard clothes. She wants to know, have you ever been able to carry off mustard clothing? Leiha knows Nancy's version of wearing mustard clothes is when Nancy eats a hot dog and gets mustard on her shirt. Leiha finds that much more appropriate then a whole shirt or dress made of mustard. Leiha thinks it's time for designers to stop trying to force mustard colored clothes on us every few years. It's ugly.
How difficult is it to flush a toilet? 2 year olds know how to flush a toilet! And when you flush a toilet can you make sure the bowl is clean? Leiha wants to have an automatic flusher like the guy from Ally McBeal. She is tired of going into public bathrooms where the toilet is not properly flushed. For the love of God, flush the damn toilet!
This is a rant and a rave. The rant is about poor customer service. Leiha is still upset that she was not able to enjoy the low country boil when her friends were in town. She was so upset that she emailed the restaurant. Turns out, the person who gave her the information on the phone was correct. The low country boil is all day. The hostess was incorrect when she told us it wasn't until 2. So not only was the hostess a cow (Nancy's term for how she acted) but she was a dumb cow. Management has reacted appropriately and will be sending Leiha a gift certificate but that doesn't make it better. She is sad her friends won't be there to enjoy it with her but she has promised to eat for them. After all, Leiha is that kind of friend! The rave is for good customer service. Leiha went to Publix the other night and it must have been a little slow. As she was shopping two people who worked the registers were standing in the aisles and they said hi. Then when she was in line a bagger came over to unload her cart and then another bagger escorted her out to help unload her bags. Leiha has not seen that kind of customer service in awhile. It was amazing how good customer service will put you in a good mood. Leiha has decided that since she could take the time to complain to management when her service was bad she will not take the time to email when the service is excellent. Leiha will be writing Publix to commend them on the quality of the service that night.

Yah, I noticed this blasted color was coming out this spring..YUK Mustard...do you see asian/pacific islanders wearing mustard? HELL NO! It makes us look jaundice...not a good color for us! Rant & Rave all you want...this color suks!

Bo remembers the first era of mustard yellow clothing,when ppl wore it with purple all the time.Bo thinks it sucked all those years ago and still does.Canary or buttercream yellow,yes.Mustard is for food.Bo has very few pieces of yellow clothing b/c of her pasty white skin,and thinks perhaps there is a conspiracy between the execs at French's & Grey Poupon & the designers.Bo will never submit!!!
Bo agrees about the toilet flushing.Bo is sick of going to use the bathroom at work and seeing an unflushed toilet when they are supposed to be fancy-pants automatics.Bo is especially disgusted when she is in stall #3 and hears someone exit stall #2 and head straight for the exit door w/out stopping to wash their hands.Bo realizes that germs are unavoidable but hopes that person is not touching anything she has to touch after that.Blech!
Bo understands Leiha's frustration w/ the restaurant & is grinning at the 'dumb cow' comment.Bo had to wait forever at Starbuck's the other day & they gave her a gift certificate for later,but she was still pissed about it.
Bo's main rant is about stupid co-workers that mess with her work when they aren't assigned to that area & have no clue what is going on there or how she is doing things.Bo had some boxes set aside b/c the scanner wasn't taking them & her stupid co-worker pushed them down with the rest.Bo wanted to wring her neck & maybe even slam her face into the rollers a few times.Yes,Bo is bloodthirsty but she has a major problem with ppl who mess with her work & thought about it again when she woke up this morning.She got mad all over again & was only slightly calmed by remembering that her boss has promised to make a blanket statement about messing with ppl's work at next week's meeting.Bo is hoping he keeps his word or she will be disgusted.
Bo actually has some raves,too.The other day she went grocery shopping & saw Bull's-Eye BBQ sauce with Guinness in it! Bo thinks this is an upscale redneck's dream.It is quite tasty.
Bo found one of her fave CD's the other day that she thought was lost.She has been happily listening to it on her way to work these past three days.Bo thinks there is nothing quite like loud angry music at 5am to start your day off right.*G*
Hey girl, I'm catching up. I've been absentee for a while. I totally need to update you, joe's closing his gym and we're moving to a new space, etc.
Also I thought lina's stuffed peppers looked amazing and wanted to see if she shared her recipe.
Builders, Plumbers, and Electrician are totally pissing me off at the moment! Actually, builders not so much. The foreman is nice and courteous, and they are being held up by the others.
The electricians I have named the three stooges as they can't do a thing right, and end up messing something else up and then having to fix that as well!
The plumbers can't even be bothered to turn up! My new bathroom suite has made it to outside of here twice now and both times ended up going back *sigh*
As a consequence of having a day off work and not having to stay in, got to spend time with my nephew, which I don't get to do that often. He doesn't get out that much but as he didn't need to use his wheelchair just at the moment, and as it's Mother's day here(UK) on Sunday took him to buy his mom something, as needed to buy something for my Mom and for my brothers and sister's birthdays. As he can't walk far had to be a one-stop shop but we got it all done, so that was fine. I'm not really a girl that shops anyway LOL
We had a laugh and a good time, and he was advising me what to buy them, and even when I asked him if he wanted anything while we were shopping he said no.
Had to take the car to get the exhaust fixed, and as many moons ago my brother worked for them, they were cool and even though they were busy fitted me in today, and I got a discount :)
